Our story - where it all began
Brought together by a shared vision and a single aim to disrupt the commercial real estate market, James and Matt, the Co-founders of Flux HQ, took the plunge in 2020 to build a market leading office agency. Having both worked together previously they felt it was the right time to combine their 20+ years of experience and go on their own journey to really shake up what was quite an archaic industry.
They set about agreeing on what feels like the most important thing to when setting up a business...the name of the company. After a lot of interim names and a couple of close calls, they landed on Flux HQ. Flux is named after the situation in which many of their clients are in. Due to the rapid growth and scaling environments that companies face, a business's headcount may well be in a state of flux.
Fast forward to the present day and they have not only built a business supported by a team of incredible individuals, they have helped hundreds of inspirational brands find their new homes across the globe.

James Clark (MBA)

As co-founder, I run the day-to-day business, lead our AI development, manage the team, and refine processes to ensure we deliver the best possible service across commercial and residential searches. I work with a strong base of loyal clients globally, year-on-year, focusing mainly on larger organisations (100+ people) across managed and conventional lease deals, as well as our residential portfolio.
Working with a great team every day and seeing the energy and passion they bring.
I have always loved real estate. Being able to move between London and the countryside, meet interesting clients, and experience great architecture as part of the job is a real privilege.
Deep-fried guinea pig in Peru when I was 21. I am now a quasi-vegetarian.
Cold water therapy first thing, whether a plunge or an icy shower. It wakes me up and sets the tone for the day.

As one of the co-founders, I'm in charge of the daily hustle of our business. From managing a troop of extraordinary Fluxateers to supporting clients with their ongoing office requirements, I work closely and support the sales team with the serviced and managed transactions.
Being blessed with the growth of an incredible company, surrounded by a team of inspirational people. Also, watching our clients grow and develop year on year and witnessing their success and journeys is truly remarkable.
3 things... 1) Working with awesome people and building great relationships. 2) Supporting exciting businesses that are disrupting their industries. 3) Exploring London and seeing an array of unbelievable office spaces.
Spending quality time with my two dogs Otis & Kobi, whether it’s a morning walk or a late night zoomie.

Flux have been by our side supporting us with our office relocations ever since we were a tiny 35-person operation all the way to our most recent move, which involved accommodating several hundred people. And we have not made it easy for them either: our brief has changed repeatedly, while maintaining some very specific requirements. Flux were extremely patient as we took our time in refining the brief and helped advise us on the appropriate size of space required. They thought outside of the box and quite literally pulled a rabbit out of a hat for us.

In fact, this latest move to our new HQ just off Chancery Lane is proving to be our best relocation yet, on top of all other benefits having meant a commute time improvement for a vast majority of our employees – not an easy thing to achieve for such a varied group.

I am a Associate Director at Flux HQ and with that I prioritise building strong client relationships, getting to know their company inside and out to build the perfect brief, then attending viewings and negotiating them amazing deals.
The consultative aspect – being able to really make an impact on our clients return-to-office strategy with beautiful, functional office spaces that fit all of their specific briefs!
I love the day to day of seeing every pocket of London Real Estate – I may be biased but we have some of the most beautiful architecture & design. I also love how social this industry is, lots of great people that are very good at their job!

I think it’ll be this year (2024) – I've recently got engaged, we're moving house, I turn 30 (lots of parties planned!) and I’ll be seeing Taylor Swift live – hard to top it!!

I am the Growth & Operations Specialist at Flux. Everyday looks completely different and can consist of everything from building and managing HR processes, building provider relationships, planning out content and building our marketing strategy, process improvement and operations, finance and accounting and everything else in between.
The variety of my role and the opportunities that I have been awarded since being with Flux. Being a part of and managing multiple processes and having the chance to get involved within the industry has been such a great learning experience for me. It’s also super fun being a part of the flux team! Being able to work with such great people make coming to work every day super enjoyable.
Being able to see all the different products that are available to clients and working with such amazing providers and building relationships with those in the industry! Being able to help find clients their new office space to call home is also super rewarding. Everyone that works in the industry is super lovely and all the social events are a great way to meet people and see more of London!
Some kind of movement! It’s the best way to start my day and it always sets me up to have a productive day.
I love exploring different parts of London and trying different cafes/restaurants! The goal is to constantly feel like I’m a tourist on holidays!
Sometimes you win and sometimes you learn. Both are a blessing! It has helped me to appreciate every situation for what it is and what you can still gain from it, no matter the outcome.
To freeze time! Being able to stop time during special moments and being able enjoy them a little longer would be amazing.
Iceland has always been at the top of my list! I would love to just do a road trip to see the landscapes and to obviously see the northern lights!

As a Senior Associate, I am tasked with building relationships with clients, and transacting some exciting growing companies.
The people I work with and the variety, everyday is unique and interesting. It is also really fulfilling helping clients find office spaces that work for them and getting them the best deal as well!
Our industry is really exciting and full of sociable events. The industry is growing by the month and it's enjoyable being a part of and seeing the growth.
Italian. If I could eat pasta every day I would! My favourite pasta is a creamy garlic and white wine chicken pasta with a bit of chilli on top. mmmm!
I am a lover of all sports, so I spend my weekends either watching or playing sports. A perfect weekend would include a massive Arsenal win, a good round of golf and maybe a bit of fishing and a braai, can’t forget about that!
